So here’s the camp setup. I ended up roughly 50 ft or so from the VIP entrance, with awesome neighbors on both sides of me. No crazy people this year, which is always a bonus. I just do a simple tent and canopy setup, providing separate living, sleeping, and storage areas. Camp went up in about 30 minutes in sweltering heat. Then I sat down and got to know my neighbors. Good times.

So apparently wordpress, or I, or the combination of the two have been repeatedly posting the same post over and over again. I am using wordpress for iPhone on the farm and am getting indecipherable error messages when I try to post. Therefore I will do a few posts on the way home, and give a full 2010 update to the site when I get back home. The festival exceeded my expectations by far this year, excited to share a portion of the festivities.

So the pilgrimage has begun. The annual trip down to the farm is underway. And just as usual, in getting rained on heavily. Actually it’s not ad bad as years past. It’s neat to see how the terrain has changed over the years, and as you get closer to the festival you can start identifying ‘roo kids’, making the trek as well. Generally only the current year’s performing artist’s music is played on the trip down in my car. So that means a lot of The Black Keys, Chromeo, LCD Soundsystem, Deadmau5, you get the picture.

Tractor trailers instist on trying to run over me. I feel like the little frog on the frogger video game. Anyway, standard trip so far, will post pics as soon as I get down to the farm and get camp set up.

Mr. FedEx man delivered my VIP bonnaroo 2010 tickets today!!! Here is a pic snapped on the iPhone.

I’m a little dissapointed and confused with the package this year. We got our wristbands in advance and they contain some sort of chip I’m assuming that workers will scan when we check in. Also, VIP is not meeting at the school this year. Strange. Detailed pics of the package will be up on Baxteroo!! in the next day or so. Way to keep us guessing, bonnaroo!
